Patients are to be seen by appointment only to a GP of their choice. Appointments can be booked by telephoning the surgery and through online.
Should you consider your problem urgent, we will make arrangements for you to be seen that day although we cannot guarantee a doctor of your choice.
You need to register to use our online appointment booking service and this is best done in person at the surgery. Please speak to one of our receptionists.
Appointments are normally for 10 minutes for one matter to be discussed if you wish to discuss further matters please tell reception before booking so that we can allocate a further appointment.
We aim to see you within 30 minutes of your appointment time. However, delays can happen, for example a doctor may be called out of surgery to attend an emergency visit or held up with emergency patients. If this should happen we will inform you and offer you an alternative appointment if you choose not to wait. We ask for your patience and understanding.
We can arrange for a British Sign Language interpreter for our patients.
KEEP IT OR CANCEL IT – If you have made an appointment to see any member of the health care team and you no longer require it, please call the surgery to cancel it so we are able to offer it to someone else.
If you are too ill to come to the surgery and you require a visit at home, please call the surgery before between 9am -11am (unless an emergency). Home visits take up more of a doctor’s time than a consultation in the surgery, so if you are mobile please come into the surgery to be seen.
Minor injuries unit
NHS Thurrock CCG are aware of the shortage of appointments in the area and are currently trialing a GP in Minor injury unit who can be contacted on 03003001527.
